PATTA’s Membership Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
In these Terms:

“PATTA” means The Portable Appliance Testing Trade Association Limited.

“Member” means the individual, company, or organisation applying for membership.

“Membership” means access to PATTA services, benefits, resources, and community during the active membership period.
2. Membership Type
PATTA offers one membership option:

Annual Membership (12 months)
Membership is provided to the named Member only and is not transferable.
3. Membership Fees & Payment
Membership fees are payable annually in advance.
Payments are made by card through the PATTA website only.
Membership becomes active once payment has been successfully received.
4. Renewal & Cancellation
Annual membership renews automatically on the anniversary of the Member’s joining date unless cancelled in advance.
Members wishing to cancel renewal must provide at least one month’s written notice before the renewal date by emailing:
If notice is not received within this period, the renewal fee becomes due and payable.
5. Non-Payment and Lapsed Membership
If the renewal fee is not paid by the due date, membership will be cancelled immediately.
Once cancelled, access to all member-only benefits, discounts, and services will end.
6. Member Conduct & Ethics
PATTA exists to raise standards in Portable Appliance Testing through professionalism, shared best practice, and community support.
Members are expected to:

Act professionally and ethically

Work within their competence

Uphold the reputation of PATTA and its members

Contribute positively to the member community
PATTA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership in cases of serious misconduct.
7. Membership Benefits & Discount Code Policy
Supplier discounts and member-only benefits are provided in good faith and are available only to active Members.
Members must not:

Share discount codes with non-members

Use member benefits after membership has ended
-
Misrepresent eligibility for PATTA discounts or services
Misuse may result in removal of benefits or termination of membership.
8. Use of PATTA Branding & Membership Badges
Members may display the appropriate PATTA membership badge or logo while membership is active.
Members must not:

Share membership badges or logos with third parties

Continue displaying PATTA branding after cancellation or termination
All PATTA-related branding must be removed immediately once membership ends.
9. Resources and Documents
Resources, guidance documents, and materials provided by PATTA are for the Member’s internal business use only.
They may not be sold, redistributed, or shared externally without written permission.
10. Data Protection
PATTA will hold and process Member data in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.

11. Termination by PATTA
PATTA may terminate membership by giving at least 28 days’ notice, providing reasons in writing.
Members may appeal termination decisions in writing to the PATTA Directors.
12. Limitation of Liability
PATTA provides membership services, resources, and community support, but does not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses.
PATTA’s total liability is limited to the membership fee paid during the current membership term.
